Kevin's performances celebrate the power and beauty of words. Designed for single classes, year groups, combinations of year groups or the whole school, they can be tailored to focus on specific themes or particular geographical areas. His repertoire features material from all over the world and often includes short, spoken phrases or song-lyrics in languages other than English.

Duration and content of performances vary according to the requirements of each participating school or library, and the age-range and abilities of each audience. In general, however, the following guidelines apply:

NURSERY & RECEPTION
Duration: up to 30 minutes

Content: interactive stories featuring recurring songs or refrains and incorporating non-verbal elements; action-songs and counting-songs; nursery rhymes, singing-games and playground chants.

YEARS 1 & 2
Duration: up to 50 minutes

Content: folktales and animal fables; stories about magical creatures or heroes and heroines with magical powers; true stories and tall tales; simple riddles and tongue-twisters; participatory rhymes, chants and songs.

YEARS 3,4,5 & 6
Duration: Up to 60 minutes

Content: folktales; stories about moral or social issues; tales of the supernatural; historical or geographical legends; creation myths; autobiography; word-play, riddles and conundrums; songs, rhythms and rhymes.

SECONDARY
Duration and content designed in consultation with participating staff.
