Kevin has been addressing conferences and providing training for teachers, librarians and fellow artists for almost twenty years. Designed to open up creative approaches to the attainment of curricular targets, his user-friendly demonstrations and workshops focus on:

• the intrinsic value of storytelling

• the pivotal role of oral skills in the acquisition of literacy

• the dynamic relationship between storytelling and other areas of the curriculum

In an age of increasing specialisation, Kevin's emphasis on participation and flexibility offers a fresh perspective and tangible results.

Recent assignments include in-service training for nursery school teachers; an exploration of the links between words and music for teachers of young people with learning difficulties; leading workshops at a conference of international writers and storytellers hosted by Tate Modern.
