Kevin has been working in collaboration with other artists since the early 1980s, when he was part of a pioneering team of arts educators based at the Royal Festival Hall. In the early 1990s he acted as an assessor for the Combined Arts department of London Arts Board. The dynamic interplay between words, music, pictures and movement continues to be central to his work.

Recent collaborations include:

Words & Music: exploring Russian classical music and Russian folktales with the Barbican Piano Trio and riverhouse barn arts centre in Walton-on-Thames. Project culminating in Baba Yaga, an ongoing concert programme incorporating live narration, recorded children’s voices and music by Dmitri Shostakovich at riverhouse, Wigmore Hall and other concert venues.

Amazing Myths: storytelling and script-writing alongside a theatre director and three visual artists from the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry on a carnival project inspired by creation myths from around the world. The project culminated in school-based performances, presentations at Coventry New Cathedral and a transformation of the city centre as gigantic costumed figures processed through the streets.

At Home with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra: workshops with members of the RPO leading towards a concert and open-day at the Royal Albert Hall.
